TAB Air & Water Systems

Date: March 23, 2026 – March 27, 2026

Schedule: 7:30 am – 5:00 pm

This course prepares students to balance HVAC systems in commercial buildings through a combination of classroom learning and practical training. It covers key topics such as reading construction documents, performing air leakage tests, control sequences, hydronic and air balancing procedures, duct system effects, acoustics, kitchen ventilation, and pre-TAB planning.

Students apply this knowledge through hands-on training that includes leakage testing, troubleshooting fans, verifying control operation, measuring sound levels, and balancing multiple air and hydronic systems. With guidance from industry-expert EAB instructors, students develop the technical and analytical skills required to perform Total System Balancing.

Recommendations: TAB Fundamentals course and 2–5 years of TAB experience. Participants must have a solid understanding of instrumentation, equipment, system components, and fundamental TAB calculations (including electrical formulas, fan laws, pump laws, psychrometrics, density correction, and heat transfer).
