COMMISSIONING PROVIDER

Develop the Skills to Ensure Building Systems Perform Efficiently and Reliably

If you’re responsible for verifying, documenting, or ensuring that building systems meet design and operational standards,
the Commissioning program is built for you.

You’ll gain technical knowledge, hands-on experience, and a strong understanding of industry best practices for commissioning electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems.

Our courses help you confidently manage commissioning processes, verify system performance, and ensure compliance with today’s standards.

Control Systems Verification

This course combines classroom instruction with practical training to prepare students for real-world HVAC control system verification. Classroom learning builds a foundation in control theory, networking, programming, sensor types, control devices, calibration, sequence verification, safety devices, and circuits. Hands-on training using custom HVAC simulation workstations reinforces these concepts through applied learning.

Commissioning Electrical Power Systems

This course provides foundational training for professionals with limited electrical experience. Through a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on exercises, students learn to commission Standard Power Systems, Emergency Power Systems, and Lighting Control Systems. The course emphasizes completion of System Verification Checklists (SVCs) and Functional Performance Tests (FPTs) while building knowledge of electrical fundamentals, power equipment, coordination studies, and applicable industry codes.

Commissioning Plumbing Systems

This course provides foundational training for individuals with limited plumbing experience. Through classroom instruction and hands-on learning, students gain the skills to complete System Verification Checklists (SVCs) and Functional Performance Tests (FPTs) for plumbing systems. Course topics include water, waste, and vent systems; piping types and joints; construction documents; medical gas systems; diesel fuel systems; and specialized water systems such as reverse osmosis, deionized water, and water softeners.

Commissioning Life Safety Systems

This course provides in-depth classroom and hands-on instruction on life safety code requirements and the functionality of fire protection and smoke control systems. Participants learn about fire alarm systems, fire sprinklers, dry-pipe systems, fire pumps and controllers, fire tanks, level controls, flow testing, and alarm monitoring and integration.
