This course provides in-depth classroom and hands-on instruction on life safety code requirements and the functionality of fire protection and smoke control systems. Participants learn about fire alarm systems, fire sprinklers, dry-pipe systems, fire pumps and controllers, fire tanks, level controls, flow testing, and alarm monitoring and integration.
Training also includes testing procedures for fire alarm systems and engineered smoke control systems in large commercial, healthcare, and public assembly buildings. By the end of the course, participants will understand system operation, testing procedures, and commissioning best practices for life safety systems.
Recommendations: Successful completion of the Commissioning Emergency Power Systems course, as well as 3-5 years of design or building commissioning experience, is recommended.
