
Control Systems Verification

This course combines classroom instruction with practical training to prepare students for real-world HVAC control system verification. Classroom learning builds a foundation in control theory, networking, programming, sensor types, control devices, calibration, sequence verification, safety devices, and circuits. Hands-on training using custom HVAC simulation workstations reinforces these concepts through applied learning.
Students also complete problem-solving challenges during lab activities and daily homework, strengthening the critical thinking and analytical skills required in the TAB profession. The course is designed to provide job-ready skills for performing control systems verification as part of Total System Balancing for basic HVAC systems in commercial and institutional buildings.
