Commissioning Plumbing Systems Training Course

This course provides foundational training for individuals with limited plumbing experience. Through classroom instruction and hands-on learning, students gain the skills to complete System Verification Checklists (SVCs) and Functional Performance Tests (FPTs) for plumbing systems. Course topics include water, waste, and vent systems; piping types and joints; construction documents; medical gas systems; diesel fuel systems; and specialized water systems such as reverse osmosis, deionized water, and water softeners.

Students learn how plumbing systems and equipment function, how to verify proper installation and performance, and how to interpret construction documents. Practical training includes supervised verification exercises using a working plumbing system and assembling sample piping with common joints and materials. By course completion, participants can confidently explain and verify plumbing systems in commercial and institutional buildings.
